She obtained her doctoral degree in Anatomy and Neurobiology from Dalhousie University in Canada. Throughout her academic journey, she has authored over fifty peer-reviewed scientific papers. In her current role as the university’s President, she is dedicated to advancing the support and empowerment of women, aligning with one of the university’s key strategic perspectives that align with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. She spearheads numerous initiatives aimed at promoting women’s empowerment, with the most notable being the establishment of the National Observatory for Women (NOW). This entity is responsible for measuring the performance index of Saudi women in the realms of development and economics.
